Fundraising
So far, we've been able to raise over $30,000 US dollars through Jump for Joel (in Kenyan currency, that's over 2,000,000 shillings!).
Completed Projects:
- 2-toilet outhouse!
- stone entrance gate!
- bunk beds & new bedding!
- institutional cooker!
- roof for the sleeping rooms!
- flooring for classroom and sleeping room!
- plaster walls for classroom and sleeping room!
- doors and windows for sleeping rooms!
Current Projects:
- improving wages for staff!
- researching new property!
We've also used the money to pay school fees and arrears for students, to pay the wages of the GCHH staff, and to buy lots and lots of food for the kids at the Gathiga orphanage and in the Kabiria slums!
Sponsorship
To help meet the needs of the children of GCHH, we’ve created a Sponsorship Program to match donors with specific children at the orphanage. So far, we have over 35 children matched!
Sponsors give $15 per month for their child. Donations can by made either online or by check.
